  • Need help. Headlight adjustment

You can adjust them you self with a hex (Allen) wrench. With the car pointed at a garage wall or door, lights on, adjust one up a little bit, adjust the other side to match. With the car on a long straight road, check where the cutoff falls on the road. Select high beams and see where the light goes. Repeat until you are pleased with the adjustment.

I made manual adjustments on mine using an Allen wrench in the white plastic adjuster socket. I did not use the VAG-COM though I have used it for numerous other changes.

To properly aim them, you need to do some measurements.

    -distance from wall to headlights
-distance from ground to center of the projector
-distance from center of on projector to the center of the other
-distance from the ground to the center of the projector cut off on the wall (the / in the _/— light pattern).

    1) park your car on a flat surface so that the headlight is 25 ft away from (and head on to) a flat wall
    2) aim the driver side projector so that it is directly straight ahead of the projector, and at the same height.
    3) aim the driver side projector so that the / is exactly the same distance apart from the driver side output as it is from the driver side headlight
    4) lower the driver side output so that the center of the / is 2.1 inches lower than the height of the projector
    5) do the same on the pass side.
    6) double check your alignment out on the road.
