Hey guys, I’m after a little help I own 2010 118D with 92k miles on the clock,

A little info to describe the problem

I have a vibration on idle which shakes the gear stick you can also see the bonnet shaking when it’s up so I take it it’s through the whole car. It’s goes away between 1000-1500 rpm however after 2000rpm it comes back Almost sounds and feels like when you have a duff injector. However there’s no smoke it doesn’t struggle to start and no loss of power.

I’ve had the bottom pulley changed as this was knackered and it’s helped but not much.

I’ve been to a Bmw specialist and he checked injectors with Bmw software and he said they were fine and he suggested to change the dual mass flywheel which is fair enough he’s a good lad but.

There’s not any metallic sort of rattles and the noise or bad vibrations my Audi shook the whole car and the noise doesn’t change when you depress the clutch I’ve had DMFs fail on audis etc and they’ve all been really noisey and the rattle will go away when the clutch is pressed etc.

Sorry for the long winded approach but has anyone encountered this
Thanks in advance

Had same when my flywheel broke. Centre bearing collapsed and caused the the flywheel to «run» off centre

Vibrated at idle like a misfire but drove ok apart from the vibration
