7 Wiper problem of the 2006 Chevrolet HHR

I was driving to my family’s home on christmas, when my car suddenly began to smell like burnt rubber inside of the car. It was raining on that day. Suddenly the cars ac, or h vac did not work anymore. Upon googling things of what it could be, I found out that the resistor and blower motor had been burnt do to be allowing water to enter the blower motor panel from the outside of the car. Upon looking at my blower motor and resistor I found evident burn marks on them. Gm should investigate how rainwater can enter the cars blower motor causing a burning smell in a inhalation of fumes of burning plastic. Not to mention my ability not to see out of the window due to the defrost not working. This is a safety concern.

9 Wiper problem of the 2009 Chevrolet HHR

It was snowing and I started my car to warm it up. I cleaned off the windows with my snow brush. Whenever I got into the car and turned on the wipers, they moved for a split second then stopped. I got out of the car and checked the wipers. They were moving freely. Nothing I did would make the wipers work. I went online and checked for problems with chevy Hhr windshield wipers and found that it’s a known issue. On one website, chevy Hhr. Net, there even is a discussion board about the problem. It’s the windshield wiper transmission and from everything I’ve read this happens between 60,00 and 85,000 miles on the Hhr and chevy colbalt. I was told that the repair is @$300. 00 and I’m wondering why gm would make a vehicle that has a part that fails so easily.

My car has the same sterring column as in the colbolt I once owned. They recalled many makes of the Hhr for new columns. But not the 2007 or 2008. I have replaced the wiper motor once before and aftrer 3 years have to replace again. Any time the temperture gets above 70 degree, the power sterring goes out. Also when the ignition switch was recalled and exchanged, the dealership refused to reset the keyless entry key rings, so cannt use my auto starter, unlock or oped my doors, especially the hatch back. There is no way to open that door, no handle, no inner button, no pull to open it.

14 Wiper problem of the 2010 Chevrolet HHR

Power windows: unable to roll down any window except the driver side using the driver side door panel. This, in conjunction with the door handles breaking off when the car was barely 3 years old, makes it a safety concern should I need to get out of the car through the windows. I am able to roll the windows up when using the driver side door panel button, just unable to roll them down. This started out with the front passenger side window not working, then went to the rear driver side and now the rear passenger side window can only be lowered by locking then unlocking the window and applying pressure to the window switch at an angle. If I needed to get my service dog out of the back seat and was unable to use the door, I would not be able to lower the window without effort. This puts her life or the life of a human who may be present in the back seat at serious risk. This slowly started a couple years ago and has escalated. The local chevy dealer, riverside chevy in rome, georgia, is aware of the problem, but the cost is too much for my disability income to cover.
