I’ve tried pulling and pushing and jiggling and praying and cursing but cannot seem to remove the rear two rows of seats from my Citroen C8.

I’ve Googled and YouTubed it until my carpal tunnel screams and my eyes go fuzzy.

Please can someone help me?

In either case here’s another guide:

This same applies to all the seats in rows 2 and 3:

Removing

Pivot the rear seat backrest (2) towards the
front using the tilt control (1). Tilt the rear seat (4) towards the front,
using the tilt control (3). Step 3

Pull on the strap (5) to unlock the rear seat (4)
(In the direction of the arrow ).
Remove the rear seat (4). Refitting

  • Engage the rear seat (4) in the slides (6) (at «a»).
  • Proceed in the reverse order to removal.
  • Check the operation of the equipment.

No, I don’t have the manual, unfortunately.

Thanks for this brilliant explanation and diagrams.

My hero.

I managed to get them out, it wasn’t easy though. Much blood, sweat and tears — especially the one in the middle which I struggled with for over an hour — during a particularly hot day. After much heaving and cursing, the thing finally popped out. I think the trick is to lift and tilt to the side rather than lifting in a straight line, forward.

Thanks to everyone who was able to help.

I’ve never had a problem removing the seats. Just make sure you have enough space for them to roll forward when you release the back.

The hard part is getting them back in which is tricky due to their weight. As long as they are aligned correctly, they just click in.

Just to mention that the instructions that Marc has kindly posted refer specifically to the centre middle row seat only.

The release cables have a tendency to cut through the outer cable, effectively shortening their length, thus making their releasing function u/s. If you can get to where the cable goes — not easy at all — then you can manually pull the cable in the hope that will release the seat. Unfortunately that is easier said than done !
