2017-2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 Service Light Reset Guide

Hey guys, what’s up? Have a wonderfully good day, and welcome to my new content. Today I will take you to reset the service light in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 (E300/E400/E450). The E300 with a 2-liter petrol engine is the same as the diesel model.

Okay, so we have a 2018 E-Class, and the service light needs to reset. And all we have to use is the right-hand side of the steering wheel, the buttons. In this case, we’re in the UK so that it will be the right-hand side, but if you were in America or Europe, you’ll be the left-hand side of the steering wheel that would need to be used. So let’s get into it now.

What is Mercedes-Benz W213 Service-A?

At 10,000 miles or one year after you purchase your new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a message on your display says that your Service A will appear. It’s essential to perform Service A.

Many people assume that your first service is simply an oil change. A thorough inspection explicitly customized to your Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which only an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer can perform. During your Service A, they’ll replace your oil and filter utilizing Mercedes-Benz synthetic motor oil and genuine Mercedes-Benz parts. They also check and correct all fluid levels depending on your factory’s recommended service intervals for your vehicle’s year and model. Check incorrect tire inflation, inspect all the brake components, and reset your maintenance counter.

We understand your Mercedes-Benz E-Class is an investment and an automotive masterpiece with advanced safety technologies and engineering. Therefore as an added value, they will also inspect all interior & exterior lamps, perform a 32-point inspection and conduct a road test.

The importance of changing the oil

It’s essential to change the oil in your Mercedes-Benz to help maintain engine performance as well as longevity. If you don’t change the oil, the consequences can permanently damage your engine.

Mercedes-Benz recommends changing your synthetic oil and filter every ten thousand miles. A prompt in your display unit will alert you to scheduled service for oil and other routine maintenance. This will include Service A, which is at ten thousand miles or one year, or Service B, which is twenty thousand miles or approximately two years.

We recommend you service your vehicle at a Mercedes-Benz dealership to ensure your oil maintenance meets the standards you and your car deserve.
