Try an Accumate battery conditioner from Leven Technology in Basildon.

They do mail order. suggest you also buy the ciggy lighter attachment. it is so easy then to keep your battery in tip top condition without having to hard wire it or keep exposing the battery terminals for the crocodile clips.

Had one for more than 6 years. no flat batteries and the best value for money for peace of mind you can spend.

flat batteries, are they the norm?

Hi, have just joined up so we can also ask for advise. Can’t help you with your problem but what you describe, a flat battery, keeps happening to our van. The van is an 07 Fiat, swift sundance and we have to start it every 2 weeks or it goes flat. Is this the norm? Seems a right faff!
Hope you get someone clever to help you with your query.

Yes it is a common problem as the alarms/radios etc still draw a current when the ingition is off. Most people either have a solar panel and batterymaster to keep the engine basttery charged, or a charger pack in case, or if you can keep the van on hook up you wouldnt have the problem.
(I have the same problem but waiting to change vans befopre I tackle it)

ps. Pay your tenner and get some great advice of the site
