Turn signal not working on one side only.

I know this an old post, but my right turn signal will not blink when using hazard switch or otherwise the light on the cluster stays dimly lit when I try to to use the right turn signal.

only the right side, I know the fuse the relay and the bulbs area all good, so is the wiring from the front turn signal and rear turn signal. I made sure before I posted this.

This is a new unexplained problem, and have not done anythingnew recently except take it to the car wash. Almost 2 weeks ago.

Any ideas, I know this is a fairly common problem I have seen other posts but none of the fixes has worked for me.

Thanks, I do actually have the dash out right now as well as the clam shell and cant see any wires pinched or frayed. It just started out of no where. Why only one side? :banghead:

If your referring to the turn signal stalk, it is pratically brand new. probably a year or two old on a car that gets driven less than 5000 miles a year. Thanks though.

If it were the stalk then why would my left turn signals work? I guess I could pull out the old one and see, it worked except for the auto return function when when pressed down or up the turn signal did not return to stationary position, the click was broken. if that makes sense.

Ya know, it helps if you say what fixes you’ve tried — keeps us from stabbing at things already done.

Replace the hazard switch yet? It’s really funky how the turn signals are wired thru it — and, bad contact(s) in the hazard switch will kill the turn signal(s.)
What you’ve described (signal lamps don’t light at all, indicator lamp comes on dimply) fits it perfectly, too.

If you read my post?? I did, see my notes below. The stalk and the hazard button are one.

Since the archives have never completely returned and god knows when that will happen.

I wanted to doa follow up and let you know what I found for any one in the future that had this problem.

Basically as I stated before all wires were intact and no damage bulbs, fuse and relay working fine. I relly kept thinking I was missing something in the wiring but I could not nail it down.

So after fiddiling around with the switch/stalk several times and jiggling it a little it is the contact points inside the stalk itself. no pinched wires at all. The part is basically brand new, from germany not the cheap chinese stuff. It literally has maybe 3000 miles since on it since I installed it. So it just goes to show even brand new parts can suck and yes even the ones from germany. screwy:
