No fog lights

It does have them, they are just integrated into the headlight housings.

Separate fog lights are becoming obsolete as manufacturers are able to house them within the headlight housings.

Meh, write VW a letter then.

I and everyone else knows what fog lights do, and I’m pretty sure manufacturers know what they are doing. Considering I have one of these cars and have used the fog lights and can see that the light is correctly projected low just like a traditional fog, I think you’re making a big deal out of a non-issue, so I guess my advice would be to stick with your CC then.

If I were the OP, I would not buy the Arteon either, the foglights are too high.

The facts are that the Arteon SEL’s lighting system makes the CC’s highlight look like a candle In the wind. I would say the Arteon’s lighting system is better than the lighting system in some cars that are twice the price.

Don’t worry, Audi doesn’t see the need for bumper mounted fog lights also.

Maybe get an atlas or cross sport, they have what’s called «All-weather» lamps mounted inside the headlight assembly that points down, as their fog light/passive cornering light.

Separate lower mounted fog lights are simply not needed anymore. Having the fog lights integrated into the headlights which are only a few inches higher from where traditional fog lights would be mounted makes no difference in their performance and obviously the engineers have figured that out.

The overall performance of the Arteon’s headlights are superior to probably most headlights on other cars. Even more so once you’ve coded it for the European dynamic lighting. Those are simply amazing.

I will also say the headlights on the Arteon are primo. This past week I had to drive 100 miles each way out to one of our manufacturing facilities in a super rural area far from any highway where it was as dark as dark could be, no lights of any kind anywhere out there, and the headlights (both low and high beam) were fantastic and I wasn’t using the all weather lights.

That said I do think you lose the adaptive feature when the all weather lights are on though.
