Dead battery, how to LOCK doors?

After figuring out to rip off the shift boot and mess with the solenoid to get the car out of park to push it out of the garage, now I can’t lock the doors for the night. The car is diagonal across the driveway since the steering is locked, now I can’t lock it up for the night.

I got the drivers door locked by popping off the cover on the door handle and using the valet key, but no idea how to lock the other doors.

battery jumper doesnt do anything, either it is junk or the battery is junk.

battery is free under warranty, needs to be towed.

how was I going to take it to autozone when it’s dead !?

anyway, roadside came to tow it at 2am and they were going to have to put it in storage overnight and then bring it back to the dealer in the morning, so I had them jump start it and their jumper worked, guess mine is a POS. Driving for 20 minutes and hopefully it starts again tomorrow and either it will be fine or drive it there myself to get the battery.

No battery = no locking doors once unlocked, no opening trunk, no shifting out of park, no steering unlock.

I still don’t understand what I would take a battery to Autozone for lol. If I needed a new battery I could just go buy one. You have 24hr Autozone!? lol

The tow drivers jumper thing worked instantly..mine didn’t do a thing even after being charged for over a week.

I can’t imagine the battery fully charged in only 20-30 minutes driving if it takes hours to charge with a charger.

um well normally people bring a battery to auto zone to have it checked bf they buy a new one seeing as our battery is around 150+$

and why are u making smart a$$ comments trackstar is trying to help you. if u really thought it through all u really needed to do is, had someone with a car tht lived near u pull there car next to urs in the driveway and u could have thrown jumpers on it to lock the car and possibly started it. he just gave u an answer to ur response and a possible solution to help you fix it

oh also if ur battery is completly dead your alternator will never fully recharge it properly so u may wanna do the walmart idea and buy a charger to give it a full charge over night or at least a few hrs.
